Operation Support Engineer for Drilling Rig (Houston, TX, United States)

Job Description

The BP Operation Support Engineer (OSE) reports to the Operations Manager, and is accountable for supporting the Rig Manager(s) in focusing on rig operations as well as the general condition of assigned rig(s) and associated equipment. Responsible for compliance to Valaris and BP standards and to provide oversight to ensure all projects are executed and assets are maintained to a high operational standard.
Actively promotes and complies with safety programs and is responsible for ensuring adherence to Valaris and BP safety standards. Coordinates with other functions to establish shared goals which optimize the use of company resources.

Qualifications / Experience
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity
Bachelor Degree within relevant trade or equivalent education. Experience can compensate for lack of formal education
Must have operational and/or maintenance experience in an offshore drilling operation.
Process oriented and well organized
Current offshore training to include BOSIET/FOET Offshore survival and emergency training, TWIC Card, IADC RigPass, and BP INS required training
