Electronics Technician for Offshore Oil&Gas Project (Texas, USA)

Job Description

The Electronic Technician is responsible to maintains, tests, repairs and installs electronic equipment and associated components using product specifications and standard diagnostic procedures.

Job Requirements :
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
Possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC, PEC safety, OGUK (Medical) and water survival certifications
Posses a High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
Have two years or more of years’ experience working with electronics/tech support
Experience repairing equipment to board level, including PC diagnostics software and tools, soldering and cold molding cable splices, DGPS, termination of coax cables, vessel mobilizations and demobilizations, and familiarity of USBL and LBL acoustic positioning.
Proficient with Windows 10 / Microsoft Office and operating 3rd party software programs
Ability to operate a variety of hand tools to repair, install, and maintain equipment
Navigate and understand wiring diagrams
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Understanding of serial interface protocols
