Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure fleet marine assurance by actively participating with and engaging the fleet personnel in Management Systems of the company thru auditing marine operations and standards, certifications, and policy.
Attend and review vessel FMEA, Proving Trials, Annual Trials, DP Testing, upgrades, and associated functions as directed.
Maintain and monitor control of fleet non-conformities, deficiencies, and open tasks.
Actively engage shore side and vessel management to facilitate timely closure of all open items and develop lessons learned to address root causes of deficiencies and non-conformities.
Standardize and/or manage onboard document control for entire fleet, actively engage vessel management prior to expirations to ensure proper action is being taken.
Analyze findings from audits and assessments conducted for common trends and share ideas with the goal of improving controls and adherence to compliance standards and to enhance performance and productivity.
Ensure company audits of vessels are effectively closed out by their responsible stakeholders to ensure that the vessels are operated within all pertinent laws, regulations and guidelines mandated by International, Port State, Flag or local agencies as well as Company policies and Best Practices.
Provide guidance on closure of any open outstanding task assigned to vessel management.
Conduct and review of audits that are intended to verify that the rigs are compliant with DP operations and industry standards and controls established under the company policies and prepare reports detailing the results of such assessments including recommendations for change and training measures to correct deficiencies.
Keep current on industry standards, practices, and methodologies, as well as regulatory DP and marine requirements.
