Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Storekeeper to help the engineering team out onboard a lovely 65m+ private vessel. This is a temporary position with the possibility of it becoming a permanent role as a Deck/3rd Engineer. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the industry and gained some great knowledge. We are looking for someone with Engineering knowledge of components and systems as this will come in handy for the job. Then the vessel is currently in a shipyard in the UK in the final stages of a major refit. The refit has included an interior makeover and complete replacement of all systems onboard. As the Storekeeper, you will be responsible for organising and ordering spare parts and implementing Triton PMS system. This role will include a lot of administration working with onboard systems and excel spreadsheets. Accommodation this provided and you will be in one of their crew houses which are within walking distance to the shipyard. This position is approximately for 3 months, with an extension reviewed at the end of the year if required.

Package:

Starting immediately
Salary 4500-5000 USD range depending on experience
Medical cover included while onboard
Accommodation in one of their crew houses which are walking distance to the shipyard.
Food allowance included breakfast and dinner, and the Chef supplies lunch to the shipyard.

Ideal Candidate Criteria:

Location preferably in the UK or Europe
Yacht Engineering experience would be beneficial, in terms of having worked with a planned maintenance system and knowing layouts etc.
Engineering knowledge of components and systems will come in handy
If you have experience with Triton, even better. Although extensive experience with Idea or similar software would be equally as good.
Past experience in new builds or major refits would be beneficial
