Job Description
Cargo Engineer to join team of professionals on LNG vessels.
As a Cargo Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the cargo systems and equipment on board the vessel, including the LNG cargo handling and transfer systems, tanks, and associated auxiliary systems.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and operate the cargo systems and equipment in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices
Maintain and troubleshoot the cargo systems and equipment as required
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the cargo systems and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair work
Collaborate with other members of the vessel crew to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the vessel
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in marine engineering or a related field is preferred
A minimum of 18 months of experience as a cargo engineer on LNG vessels is required
Thorough knowledge of LNG cargo handling and transfer systems, as well as associated auxiliary systems
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
